It is located on Parada 1 at Brava beach in Punta del este. It was built in February, 1982 and becomes one of the popular landmark of Uruguay. The sculpture depicts a human drowning in the water while swimming asking for help, which is itself a warning for swimmers depicting that these are not the ideal conditions to swim on because the water level on that beach rises up any time.

It is one of the most famous tourist attraction in Uruguay. Mainly tourist visits there in summer when sun-rays hit the beaches. La Mano is its another name which means "The Hand". Iguazu Falls, Argentina

Iguazu Falls Argentina waterfalls most visited place

Iguazu Falls are the waterfalls of river Iguazu. It is situated in the border of Argentina & Paraná (state of Brazil). Around 1900 meters of the Iguazu waterfall is in Argentine side and around 800 meters is in Brazilian side. Its name is been derived from Guarani or tupi words which means "Water". It is undoubtedly the most visited place in Argentina. It is four times wider than the width of Niagra Falls.

There is a myth about this waterfall. A legend said that a snake named "Boi" used to live there in the river. To make him calm or to calm its brutality, the people of ancient times sacrified a woman every year as an offering. One day a brave guy saved a woman from that cruel snake and snake got so angered that it bent its body and split the river seperating the man & woman.

There are more than 250 falls in the area. There are two basic paths i.e. upper path & lower path. In the upper path, you can walk over a bridge and take a scenic view of the wall but in the lower path, you can go to the base of fall which is friggin adventurous. I would suggest you to take lower path if you are daring enough.

You can also experience wild adventure highly ranging from mammals, reptiles, insects, fish etc. You can take a boat ride as well to experience it better.
