Poklonnaya Hill, Moscow (Russia)

Poklonnaya Hill (meaning bow down hill in English) is among the list of highest spots in Moscow, standing at around 170 meters located west from the center of city. Russia is officially known as Russian Federation. It is the world’s biggest country in terms of its area but not the largest (in terms of population). It gives a panoramic view of the capital. This is the spot where Napoleon Bonaparte, after reaching Moscow, waited for Russian Emperor of that time (Alexander I) to bow in front of him and to handle him the key of the city. However, this never happened and later Napoleon lost the war.

This memorial complex includes :

–> A victory Park
–> A church
–> Central Museum of great patriotic war
–> Mosque

Victory park is one of the most preferable places in the premises and tourist came up here to take rest, to stroll, admiring the fountains, skate riding and to watch performances. Central Museum consist of the pictures of the ancient times and the weapons used in the war.

Nalanda Gedige is an ancient times Hindu Temple located at about 1 km east of the A9 route 20 km north of Aluvihare near Kandy (Matale, Sri Lanka). It is one of the remarkable  archaeological sites in Sri Lanka. It is a site that has been shifted about 35 years ago from its original place. The new place is just few kilometers away from the previous one. The reason of shifting the site is that the area went under water with the construction of a Reservoir nearby. It was constructed in between 8th to 10th century and was a Hindu Temple but later on it is been used by Buddhists. It is one of the earliest stone buildings.

Nalanda Gedige is designed like a Hindu temple with a Mandapa, an entrance hall, a short passage to a bare cello, and an ambulatory round the holy center though there is no existence of the Hindu Gods today in the temple. It is not much big in size as you can see in image above but worth visiting because of its history, its design, cleanliness. Granite walls are in the surrounding of main entrance and faces are carved on it.

Tokyo Skytree is a broadcasting, restaurant and observation tower in Tokyo, Japan. Its main role is the transmission of digital terrestrial broadcasting. From 2003 onwards, digital terrestrial broadcasting is  in use in Kanto region but because of many other tall buildings (height more than 200 m) it was necessary to make a tower higher than 600 m for transmission purpose. So on 14th July, 2008 the construction of Tokyo Skytree started and after nearly around three and a half years it gets completed on 29 Feb, 2012.

It is the tallest structure made in Japan of height 634 m and the second tallest structure in the world after Burj Khalifa, Dubai. It is also the tallest TOWER in the world (not the tallest structure). According to the designer, it can absorb upto 50% of the energy generated from earthquake. The highlight of this tower is its two decks, the lower one is at the height of 350 m from the ground and the higher one is at the height of 450 m. On 350 m  high deck, there is a Skytree deck from where you can have a look of the whole Tokyo city.

Kadifekale (another name the Velvet Castle) is situated over the Pagos hill just 2 km away from the coastline and offers a beautiful view of the Izmir city. It was built was by the successor of Alexandra the Great whose name is General Lysimachos. After Istanbul & Ankara, Izmir is the third most populous city of Turkey. From any point of Izmir you can see the Velvet castle standing over the hill.

You can took a bus from Konak station or else you can also ask locals how to reach there. You can see the history of that castle been written on some information boards. You may also go to the market downtown. There are many restaurants as well so no need to worry about food.If you got time and have passport you can go to Greek oslanda for a day and come back by boat. You need to climb some some stairs to get to the castle.

Burj Khalifa, is a Skyscraper and is the world's tallest building in the World by now situated in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Its height is slightly more than 2,700 ft. (around 830 m) which is the tallest man-made structure. The construction was began in the year 2004 and is get completed in the year 2009. But officially the building was opened on 4, Jan 2010. There are 163 floors in this building more than the floor of World Trade Center, that was with 110 floors.

It has already broken many records like the World's highest Restaurant, World's highest nightclub, World's tallest structure that includes residential spaces, Building with most floors and so many. It is surrounded by Hotels, Cinema Halls, Malls. The size gets narrower as you will go above.

The best time to visit Dubai in winter season i.e. from November to March. The weather is cool and comfortable for everyone.  At that time, you can also enjoy Dubai Shopping Festival which held in January or February. On these times, you will see Dubai really crowded and because of this you may suffer from hiking Flight prices. So it would be great if you will book your tickets before.

of february called Sea Worm festival or Bau Nyale (In Indonesian language) at Kuta beach. Bau means "to catch" and Nyale means a kind of worm. So in this festival, peoples from different cities gather and participate in this, they first catch the worms and then roast it and eat. They have been served in a banana leaf.  The main religion is Muslim but many other religions are also there.

I have never been there but i'm aware of its beauty as my friends told me about it who have visited there. One of them was thinking of settling out there , crazy chap :D
